Crystal Yu M.Ed, BA (Hons), AISTD

Crystal is an actor and educator with nearly two decades of international experience working across conservatoires, universities, and professional training environments. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and is known for her process-led, student-centred approach to training performers.

Her teaching spans the UK and Asia, with invited roles at institutions including the National Film and Television School, the Royal Academy of Dance's Step Into Dance, Drama Studio London, CentreStage Studios Hong Kong, The Helen Kong Academy of Arts, among others. Working across cultures and disciplines, Crystal brings both rigour and sensitivity to the room, helping students develop craft, confidence and creative autonomy.

Beyond formal teaching, Crystal’s work often extends into mentorship and professional preparation. She is particularly invested in creating conditions where artists can think independently, take creative risks, and build sustainable relationships with their work.
